Tallero Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Tallero is an offline-first currency converter provided by Codedge. This policy describes the limited data actually used by the web app and by any Android version.
1. Who is responsible
Alessandro Di Terlizzi, operating under the name Codedge in Italy, provides Tallero and is the data controller for this policy. For privacy questions or requests about applicable rights, write to contatti.codedge@gmail.com.
2. Data kept on your device
Tallero stores your language, theme, appearance, date, sound and vibration preferences, base and target currencies, starred and recently used currencies, currency metadata and cached exchange rates on your device. The amount you enter and a small technical error log last only for the current session. No account is created. These app data are not sent to Codedge.
3. Network requests and providers
To update rates, Tallero sends the selected base currency to api.frankfurter.dev over HTTPS. It does not send entered amounts or favorites. Frankfurter and its delivery provider may receive standard connection data such as IP address, browser or app information, and request time. The hosting provider receives similar data when you load the web app or these legal pages. On Android, Google Mobile Ads also receives connection data as described in section 5. Where these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, they rely on safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
4. Contact by email
Tallero does not contain forms that send personal data. Only if you voluntarily write to contatti.codedge@gmail.com does Codedge receive your email address, message and ordinary email metadata. These data are used only to reply and to handle your request, and are deleted within twelve months of the last exchange unless the law requires a longer period. The mailbox is provided by Gmail, so Google processes the email under its own privacy terms.
5. Advertising, sharing and permissions
Tallero does not show ads in the web app. The Android app may show banner ads served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). When the SDK operates, Google automatically collects and shares the device IP address, ad interactions, diagnostic information and device or account identifiers (which may include the Android Advertising ID) for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Google encrypts these data in transit. Ads may be personalised according to your consent choices and Android ad settings. Where Ad privacy options appear in Tallero settings, you can review or change your choices, including withdrawing consent. Depending on those choices, Google may serve personalised, non-personalised or limited ads, or no ads. You can reset or delete the Android Advertising ID in your device settings. For more information, see https://policies.google.com/privacy. Tallero does not use a separate third-party analytics product and does not sell personal data. Tallero does not request access to location, camera, contacts or microphone. It may use vibration or haptic feedback if enabled and supported.
6. Retention and deletion
Local data remains in Tallero storage on your device until you remove it with the Delete data controls in Settings or clear Tallero app data from the device settings. Cached rates can also be cleared separately. External providers determine how long they retain their own technical logs under their policies.
7. Legal basis, rights and security
The app uses local data to perform the functions you request. Any contact email is handled to answer your request, meet legal duties and protect legitimate support or legal interests. Tallero uses HTTPS and local data validation, although no system can guarantee absolute security. Where privacy law applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection by writing to contatti.codedge@gmail.com. Where Ad privacy options are available, you may change or withdraw consent to personalised advertising as described in section 5. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (https://www.garanteprivacy.it), or the authority of the country where you live or work.
8. Changes and language
Policy changes will appear here with a new date. Translations are provided for convenience; if their meaning differs, the English text is the reference, subject to mandatory law.
